Lollapalooza, the annual three day festival of alt rock, heavy metal and hip hop, takes place this weekend in Chicago's Grant Park.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White, Florence and The Machine and Black Sabbath headline this year's event, which features dozens of other performers including The Black Keys, At the Drive-In, J. Cole, Frank Ocean and B.o.B.
Coming on the heels of last week's Newport Folk Festival, the Chicago gathering highlights an otherwise quiet mid-summer week in entertainment.
The only notable album set for release this week is rapper Rick Ross' fifth studio release "God Forgives, I Don't," coming out Tuesday, but leaked online a few days early.
