Not only can you come to a Lil Wayne concert and be guaranteed great rap, but you can also bet your bottom dollar that he will be putting on a great show in front of thousands and thousands of fans! Lil Wayne was born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. and grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Carter enrolled in the gifted program of Lafayette Elementary School and in the drama club of Eleanor McMain Secondary School. He wrote his first rap song at age eight. At age eleven, he met Bryan Williams (Birdman), rapper and owner of Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne recorded freestyle raps on Williams’ answering machine; Williams would eventually mentor the young Carter and include him in Cash Money-distributed songs. When he was 12, he played the part of the Tin Man in his middle school drama club’s production of The Wiz.

Also known as Weezy F. Baby, Lil Wayne has a collection of hardware not many can compete with. Dwayne Carter has been nominated for 70 awards and has won 29 of them, including five BET Awards, eight BET Hip Hop Awards, four Grammy Awards, one MTV Video Music Award, one MTV Europe Music Award, seven Ozone Awards, and three Vibe Music Awards. These awards include accomplishments such as Best Mixtape of the Year, Best Rapper, Best Video, Best Male Rap Artist, Best Lyricist, Best Collaboration, Artist Choice, Best Album, Best Rap Song, Best Performance, Best Ringtone, Peoples Champ Award, MVP of the Year, and Viewers Choice Award." With the Houston Astros moving from the NL Central to the AL West in 2013, the baseball schedule will be slightly different this season. Interleague play will begin in April due to the fact that both leagues now have an equal amount of teams. The first game of the season is scheduled for March 31st, with the Astros squaring off against the Rangers in Arlington. Peak Seats is ready with baseball tickets for every game on the 2013 MLB schedule for every game. And of course we will be ready for the postseason with divisional playoff tickets, ALCS tickets, NLCS tickets and World Series tickets.

Last season featured an amazing run by the San Francisco Giants to win the World Series over the Detroit, and while the Giants will certainly have a chance to make it back to the Fall Classic there are plenty of other teams with a big shot. The Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers are some of the early favorites, but baseball is unpredictable, so you never know who might make a run at a title. No matter what team you follow, Peak Seats has MLB tickets for you.

The 2013 Mid Summer Classic will be held in New York, as the Mets will host the MLB All-Star Game in July at Citi Field. After that, things will get serious as teams start to make the final drive for the playoffs. With the addition of a second wild card spot in ‘12, the playoff race was one of the tightest in years and you can bet that things will come down to the wire again in 2013, with many teams vying for the final spots. From Spring Training tickets to Opening Day tickets to World Series tickets, PeakSeats has you covered for the entire Major League Baseball season.
