Both country super stars Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean revealed some of their
2013 tour information. Let’s start with
Mr. Chesney.
Kenny Chesney will be hitting the road again in 2013 for his
No Shoes Nation tour. Chesney
took to No Shoes Radio this morning, November 8, with the announcement. There
have been 17 stadium dates confirmed thus far, and the tour is scheduled to
kick off in Tampa, FL on March 16 from Raymond James Stadium.
The 17 stadium tour dates span the United States with stops
at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX; Century Link Field in Seattle, WA; Heinz
Field in Pittsburgh, PA; Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA; and MetLife Stadium in
East Rutherford, NJ among others. The tour is currently scheduled to run
through August 24 when Chesney will perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA.
This time around Chesney will be joined by Eric Church, Eli Young Band, and Kacey Musgraves. Zac Brown Band will also be a part of
the tour replacing Eric Church for three performances — Williams Brice Stadium
in Columbia, SC; Target Field in Minneapolis, MN; and the Georgia Dome.
Eric Church is riding the success of his third studio album
Chief, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 on with 145,000 records sold
according to Nielsen SoundScan. Chief has produced as slew of hit singles for
Church including "Springsteen", "Creepin", and "Drink
In My Hand". The album was also named "Album of the Year" during
last week's 2012 CMA Awards.
With this tour Kenny Chesney will surpass the 100 mark for
stadium show performances for which he currently holds country-world record, as
reported on Chesney's official website. Just this past summer Chesney sold out
stadiums across the United States for his Brothers of the Sun tour alongside
fellow country artist Tim McGraw. Billboard Boxscore reported that the Brothers
of the Sun tour "grossed about $100 million at the box office and drew
more than 1 million fans."
Chesney released his latest album Welcome To The Fishbowl on
June 16, 2012. The album debuted atop Billboard's country chart and at No. 2 on
Billboard 200 with sales of 193,453, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Fishbowl
has produced the hit singles "Feel Like A Rock Star" and "Come
Over".
With 8 consecutive tours topping the 1 million attendees
Kenny Chensey's No Shoes Nation tour is sure to be one of 2013's most
successful tours. To stay up to date

And now, Mr. Aldean.
Country star Jason Aldean
has officially announced the cities he will visit on the first leg of his 2013 Night Train Tour. Aldean will
hit the road early in the year, kicking off the tour off on February 21 in
Bossier City, Los Angeles.
Previously, Aldean announced that the tour would be making
stops in a few historic baseball stadiums — Fenway Park in Boston, Wrigley
Stadium in Chicago, and Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. Tickets for stadium
performances are already on sale, and after the initial date for Boston sold
out in ten minutes, Aldean added a second performance with tickets to that show
going on sale this past Friday, November 2.
Although Aldean is holding back information on official
venues and dates, he has released a list of cities he plans to make stops in
along the way. The tour is expected to stretch from February until sometime in
May.
The first leg of the tour is planned to hit 23 venues across
the United States. Notable cities on Aldean's list include: Houston, Knoxville,
Little Rock, Tulsa, Omaha and Uncasville.
Special guests Jake
Owen and Thomas Rhett will
be joining Aldean throughout the duration of the Night Train tour. Other
opening acts scheduled include Luke
Bryan for the University of Georgia stop, Miranda Lambert at Fenway Park,
and Kelly Clarkson at Wrigley Field.
The 2013 Night Train Tour is in support of Aldean's fifth
studio album, Night Train. The album was released on October 16 and debuted at
number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Popular tracks on the album include
"Take A Little Ride," "When She Says Baby" and
"Walking Away." Billboard reviewed the album, saying Aldean is
pushing the limits to move his "sound forward sonically, vocally and
lyrically."
Aldean has more than seven million records sold, and ten
number one hit singles. His last tour, the My Kinda Party Tour completely sold
out, and sold upwards of 1.9 million tickets. "I've always kind of felt
like I had something to prove," Aldean says about his music career.
"It's what keeps me hungry."
"The thing I'm most excited about for next year is getting
to add some new songs off the 'Night Train' album into my show. As a musician,
it's great to be able to shake up the set list, and thinking of cool ways to
present these new songs in the live show…"Aldean said on his official
music website. "We're already working on some cool production ideas, and
we're going to come back from the holidays ready to go." He also said that
he is a huge fan of both Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett, and is looking forward to
teaming up with them for the tour.
Aldean is expected to announce official venues and dates for
the 2013 Night Train Tour in the near future.
