Woodson added that it won't happen even if the series somehow goes to a full seven games.
Woodson's comments come a few days after Lin got everyone excited by saying he could be back from knee surgery much sooner than expected.
Although it probably wouldn't make a huge difference, and there's NO WAY the Knicks are extending this series to seven games, New York could really use a point guard right now.
Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis are both out for the year, leaving the ancient Mike Bibby and little-used Toney Douglas as the only options.
Considering all signs point to Woodson signing an extension to stay on as Knicks head coach, it's not surprising that he wouldn't bring Lin back before he's at full strength. Woodson is not going to risk his starting point guard's long term health for the minuscule chance the Knicks have at getting past the Heat.
