Brooklyn Nets unveil new black-and-white logo - NBA News | FOX Sports on MSN:
"NEW YORK (AP)
The Nets have changed their colors to black and white as part of their relocation to Brooklyn.
The NBA team took another step in its transition from New Jersey to New York by unveiling a new logo and colors Monday morning. Nets center Brook Lopez and coach Avery Johnson attended the unveiling at a sporting goods store on Flatbush Avenue, across the street from the team's soon-to-be-completed new home area, the Barclays Center.
The team's shield logo has Nets spelled out above a basketball with a block B on it. Below the shield, Brooklyn is printed.
The Nets say the logo and color scheme were designed by minority owner Jay-Z and inspired by the New York city subway signs from 1957, when Brooklyn last had a professional team, the Dodgers."
